When I was in college, I took my first art class and fell in love with the process of making art. I loved the details of shading and color arrangement. I have continued my passion for art into adulthood. Now,  I teach, create and strive to push myself to grow artistically.

I use many different mediums, such as, oils, acrylics, water colors, colored pencils, pen and ink and mixed media. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

 I  am  a scientist  of  art  whose  examination  of a whimsical style, allows  me  to play with color, texture and vision. I embrace self discovery and use different mediums to delve deeper into this construct. This eclectic approach supports the reconstruction of ideas, exploring how illustration and modern contemporary art impact each other. One of my goals is to investigate how nature, structure and form influence art, both literally and figuratively. I have been working on the connection between mixed media and sculpture. It has been exciting to dive deeper into the juxtaposition between illustration and abstraction. My art will continue to focus and encompass the important transitions in our lives. It would be my hope that all who view my creations, leave with a feeling that art can transport them into a different world.
